Homemade Refreshing Sports Drink #1
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup HOT water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (kosher or sea salt)
  • 3/4 cup Ruby Red grapefruit juice or Orange juice or Limeade (any fruit juice will work)
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice or Lime Juice
  • 1 cup Ice

  • Mason Jars or Bottles with Lids. (four- 8 ounce or two - 16 ounce)

  1. Boil 1/2 Cup water.
  2. Using a large Beverage Dispenser, pour 1/2 cup Hot water into it. While water is still very hot; add 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  3. Stir until it completely dissolves.
  4. Add Lemon juice and either Ruby Red Grapefruit or Orange juice; stir thoroughly.
  5. Add Ice into remaining ingredients and stir thoroughly.
  6. Add 3 to cold water and stir. If it seems too strong or you'd prefer to try it a little more watered down, add 3-1/2 cups cold water. Stir.
  7. Pour liquid into Jars or bottles and screw on cap tightly.
